I drove out to Houston and shot another roll of some pretty stunning Art Deco cars and Motorcycles at the MFAH. (All images Tri-X pushed to 800)
I had the same lighting problem this time that I did the last time, so a lot of the images didn’t turn out how I wanted. Oh well, I guess that’s film.

Looks like it is running until the end of May, so I don’t need to rush: http://www.mfah.org/exhibitions/sc…

Nice photos. The composition of the 2nd and 3rd images are particularly pleasing! If there’s a local photography group where you live, I’d hook up with them.
I think one thing that you can do to make yourself a better photographer is to always have your eyes open to what could make for a interesting or beautiful image throughout your everyday life. Often, we only “think like a photographer” when we have our nice camera in our hands. If you’re always conscious of the world around you, looking for a good composition, they will strike you from time to time. Even if all you have with you is your phone, take the picture, or maybe make a note to come back to this spot with your camera. It’s easy to go through your days from point A to point B without really seeing the world around you, but if you remain mindful and open to beauty around you at all times, you’ll see it and end up with some amazing photos along the way.
I’m by no means a pro photographer, but am a designer who likes to take photos. I’ve also got several friends who are seriously talented, and spend a lot of time enjoying photography as an enthusiast.
Keep at it!
